VA-Energy operates and maintains the power station at the Kiniero Gold Project in Guinea for PDI Gold Limited.

The station’s eight Hyundai HiMSEN generating sets, its heavy fuel oil treatment plant and its HV and LV distribution sit under a single VA-Energy scope, with permanent supervision, blackstart capability and engine-by-engine maintenance records kept against manufacturer service intervals. A permanent team of expatriate and national supervisors, with trained local staff, runs the plant 24 hours a day, every day of the year.

Beyond the current contract

VA-Energy’s leadership team has installed and maintained more than 250 MW of generation across the region. Alongside the Kiniero contract, the company delivers generator hire, spare parts supply, switchgear and control system work across Guinea, Burkina Faso and Côte d’Ivoire, and supplies equipment and technical support into markets where it has no permanent ground presence.
