Controls issued with the job
A controlled management system aligned with international standards, with accreditation to be pursued in 2027.
VA-Energy works to international health, safety, environmental and quality standards. Our controlled management system covers permits to work, energy isolation under LOTOTO (lock out, tag out, try out), job safety analysis, risk assessment, incident investigation, chemical and COSHH control, and statutory certification.
Documentation is structured and maintained in alignment with the requirements of ISO 9001 (quality), ISO 45001 (occupational health and safety), ISO 14001 (environment) and ISO 55001 (asset management). VA-Energy is not currently certified to these standards; the company intends to pursue formal accreditation during 2027.
Safety built into the workflow
Where work requires energy isolation, a Take 5 or other safety control, the permit to work and the isolation permit are generated from the job card itself, together with the method statement setting out how the task is to be carried out. The control is issued with the job rather than raised after it, and the isolation is carried out under LOTOTO.
Every asset documented
Maintenance history, service intervals and electronic job cards are managed unit by unit, supporting both statutory certification and life-cycle decisions on the plant.
National workforce development
National staff are trained and graded across mechanical, electrical, control-room and fabrication disciplines, with the objective of building local operating capability.
